Vintage Kits - Part 1 - The flower Kitty

Vintage Kits - Part 1 - The flower Kitty

I found this pattern a while back on one of my many thrift trips. There were no packaging with instructions or anything. The simple yet stupid look of the cat face was calling me. I knew I had to take him home and bring him to life.

When I opened it, I saw that someone already tried to start it. That person never committed to start, only the outline of the cat was made. I respected the vision and went straight to work. Unfortunately, the last owner placed the cat too much to the right, leaving no place to finish it quite centered. I altered the pattern to make him fit as much as I can. I think it worked quite well.

You can check the making of HERE

I then made it a wall hanging, I just need to find a home on one of my wall for it's forever home.

Here's the altered version in case you want to create this cute lil kitty! * I do not own the right to the original pattern, just sharing my updated version I made.

The pattern is 33st x 32st

Made on clear mesh plastic canvas. I used tapestry yarn for everything. The yarn included in the kit was really thin so I used the cross stitch method vs the tent stitch for the background.

Have fun stitching!
